Gallup recently published their annual World Happiness Report, revealing which countries are happiest based on how their residents score their life satisfaction out of 10.
Using Gallup's findings over the years, Visual Capitalist ranked the 20 countries whose happiness scores have increased the most since 2010.
Serbia saw the biggest boost in happiness overall, growing by 1.8 points over the last 13 years to an average score of 6.4. In second is Bulgaria (+1.6), followed by Latvia (+1.5).
Overall, though, global happiness has risen by just 0.1 of a score point over the same period, and now sits at 5.5 out of ten.
